about

I've always been inspired by tiny poems: haiku, old short Chinese poems, e.e. cummings, William Carlos Williams etc. So, when I found this book of fragments of Sappho's sensual and expansive poetry, I was immediately drawn to them. The original title was Crushing a Circle (the lady had sensual things on her mind!) as subtitled by the keen and subtle wit of Erica Barth.
