about

Pastime is the soundtrack to a dance about baseball (and everything else) by choreographer Chris Black. The dance was performed in parks in San Francisco back in 2007. The soundtrack was broadcast via a guerrilla micro radio station to a ring of transistor radios which outlined a performance area. Audience members were invited to tune in on their own radio, as one might listen to a ball game. The movement was created from the physical extremes of baseball, and some of the soundtrack was created using actual recordings of baseball games. The soundtrack is a journey in itself, and stands on its own as an interesting listening experience.
